The Aircraft-Photos.net screening policy has been put in place to achieve consistency throughout the screening process. Our aim is to give all our photographers a fair decision when we screen their images and give viewers the consistency of quality that they require.
This policy applies to all photographers to the site who upload images after 1/05/2004. Any images uploaded by existing photographers to the site prior to this date will be screened at the screener's discretion.
Below is a list of checks that a screener MUST complete before an image is accepted onto the site. Any images that do not comply with one or more checks should be rejected or passed to an administrator for further inspection.
Appeal process:
I you feel that an image falls within the screening policy and complies with the below checks and is still rejected, you may appeal.
How to appeal?
Re-upload the image and enter [APPEAL] in the Other Information Text Box. An administrator will then review the image again and you will then receive their decision. Please respect our judgement on this matter and remember that when you request an appeal it is taking up valuable time for our screeners. This could result in us not achieving our service level of having all images viewable on the site within 24 hrs of upload.
Image Checks:
- Is the image over 800X600 pixels in size?
- Is the image level?
- Does the image show signs of being under or over exposed?
- Is the image clear and all markings clearly visible?
- Does the image show too much jpeg compression?
- Is the image free of any text?
- Is the aircraft correctly identified?
- Is the complete aircraft in shot? (This does not include images that are entered into a relevant section i.e. Tails, close ups and flight deck).
- Does the aircraft fill the complete image?
- Does the overall effect of the image give a satisfactory quality?
- Is the image clear from any obstructions?
Finally, an overall look at the image should be made to confirm that the image complies with the policy and the image is of a satisfactory quality. Any images that fail one or more of the above tests, but is worthy of being added to the site, should be passed to an administrator for authorisation.
Thank you for your support and co-operation in this matter.
